Responsibilities

To support the HoD, CUO and CEO in achieving the International Property Treaty business plan. To underwrite business in accordance with the latest version of the International Property Treaty Underwriting Guidelines and Processes document. To underwrite business in accordance with the current in force Underwriting Authority document. Underwriting To underwrite business in accordance with the current in force Underwriting Authority document. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO, where requested, in business and budget planning. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO in promoting the development and the maintenance of BRUK business including travel, meetings and marketing of both clients and brokers. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO in considering and assessing emerging issues and recommend actions therein. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO and Actuarial in ensuring adequate technical evaluation of potential exposures is in place. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO and Actuarial, where requested, in ensuring that the pricing tools and processes are up to date and current and are being used in the correct manner. Ensure that all underwriting processes and procedures are up to date and maintained and that all risks are recorded in accordance with current Underwriting Guidelines and Processes. Ensure that all business written is within the current in-force Underwriting Authority document and that any peer review is up to date and documented. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO, where requested, in any retrocessional purchase analysis. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO with any quarterly “post mortem” reviews to providing analytics on new business, declined business, market conditions etc. To assist the HoD, CUO and CEO, where requested, in the development of new business and any research projects/ additional training required to enhance the team. To mentor and encourage junior members of the International Property Treaty team and to report to the HoD, CUO and CEO all issues relating to the International Property Treaty team. Qualifications

Excellent working knowledge of Reinsurance Market and Underwriting processes. General commercial and financial knowledge. Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Accurate and numerate. Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Motivational skills, team worker as well as able to work on own initiative. Able to work within and promote a collegiate culture.
