I am actively seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join a busy, successful Multidisciplinary Consultancy based in Derby. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will assist in managing and leading one of their busiest teams where you will have the opportunity to plan and check detailed designs for industrial, residential, education, retail, commercial, and leisure projects.
It is essential for the Senior Civil Engineer to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:
A minimum of a 2.1 BEng or Meng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
A minimum of 5 years work experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
Achieved or working towards a Chartership status with IStructE or ICE
Use of own car for meetings and site visits
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the following:
Experience of Structural design of low-rise residential properties
Ability to use MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, Causeway PDS or Civil 3D
Knowledge of design standards for drainage and roads
Duties and responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineer include:
Communicate and interact with design team members, external clients and professionals.
Report writing for Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy
Attend meetings, public inquiries, planning committees, public exhibitions and site inspections when needed
Provision of 3D ground models for vertical road profiles, cut and fill exercises, volume calculation, etc.
