Opportunity for a Compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse A well-established, independent veterinary practice is seeking a motivated and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing top-quality care in a practice that values the wellbeing of its patients, clients, and team members.
Role Overview The RVN will be responsible for a range of duties, including consultation support, anaesthesia monitoring, and ward care. The role offers an excellent work-life balance with no out-of-hours responsibilities and a welcoming environment where professional development is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities Assisting with consultations, surgical procedures, and inpatient care. Monitoring anaesthesia and ensuring patients are comfortable during recovery. Supporting a high standard of patient care in line with RCVS Practice Standards. Contributing to the smooth running of the practice through rota-based consult, anaesthetic, and ward duties. Engaging in professional development and making use of the generous CPD allowance.
Working Pattern Full-time: 40 hours per week over 5 days. Weekend rota: 1 in 5 Saturdays (8 am to 4 pm). Closed: Sundays and Bank Holidays. No out-of-hours (OOH) responsibilities.
Practice Facilities The practice is equipped with a wide range of modern diagnostic and treatment tools to support exceptional patient care: Digital X-ray and Dental X-ray. Ultrasound. Multi-parameter monitoring systems. In-house Abaxis blood machines. Cozy warming machines and more. Accredited ISFM Cat-Friendly Clinic (Silver status), ensuring a stress-free experience for feline patients.
