An exciting opportunity has arisen within Urology Outpatients. We are looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic full-time, Band 5, Staff Nurse to join our Urology Outpatients Team. The Unit provides a friendly environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork to facilitate the provision of high-quality patient care. The Department is a busy environment with daily Urology Consultant and Nurse Led clinics. The post will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to excel in a wide range of duties due to the diverse nature of treatments within Urology. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the smooth running of clinics, providing support to both Consultants and Nurse Specialists. You will also be involved in giving and supporting patient treatments. This can be seen as a developmental role with the possibility to study for a post-graduate Certificate in Urology Practice and various routes for progression within the Service. Main duties of the job

CLINICAL SKILLS Perform comprehensive assessment of patient nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate care according to changing health care needs. Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team/agencies to ensure that patient needs are met. Involve patients, relatives/carers in the delivery of care, providing reassurance and support. Prepare the clinical area for safe practice by ensuring cleanliness and readiness of materials and equipment. Provide escort and transfer for patients as directed by the multidisciplinary team. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations. Collect, collate, and report information, maintaining accurate patient records/documentation. Person specification
