Argus has dedicated conference teams in Houston, London, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, and Singapore, running a global portfolio of 40+ events. As the Senior Marketing Executive - Conferences, you will have ownership of the marketing campaigns for 6-8 conferences per year. In conjunction with the Global Head of Marketing and other key stakeholders, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and executing digital and offline marketing tactics to generate leads and hit revenue targets. You will have the opportunity to work on a portfolio with a strong brand presence, including several events which are established as leaders in their market as well as related launches in growth markets. Experience in event marketing is desirable, and you should have the ability to hit the ground running. You will need strong analytical skills, a natural inclination for collaboration and teamwork, and the drive to push new ideas and deliver strong results. Implement and project-manage high calibre, coordinated marketing campaigns for multiple conferences. Execute multi-channel and multi-lingual campaigns where required to drive delegate acquisition and support sponsorship sales acquisition. Devise, implement and manage strategies to increase the conversion of prospects and return of attendees. Oversee the design process for all digital, print, and web assets for the marketing campaign. Build and execute email campaigns. Update the conference website and continuously optimise page layout and navigation. Identify marketing partners, cultivate relationships and agree mutually beneficial contra deals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deploy innovative marketing assets to engage the target audience, such as eBooks, infographics, and networking guides where required. Produce mid and post-campaign reports for each event using relevant analytics tools to track performance and make recommendations for improvements. Monitor data quality, build and manage databases, ensuring to keep data up to date, targeted, and relevant for every event campaign. Manage and control the marketing budget for each campaign. Balance multiple priorities, updating stakeholders on progress and expected delivery. Skills and Experience Prior events marketing experience is desirable. Demonstrates effective collaboration with other brands/teams and embraces new ideas, systems, projects, or processes. Confident decision maker, with the ability to assess opportunities and risks and flag these to your line manager. Experience using some of Marketo, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Twitter, CMS systems, Canva, basic Photoshop, and HTML creation is desirable. Working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics. Experience in the commercialisation of events including launch events. Ability to work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives. Willingness to develop knowledge both within the marketing discipline and the industries we serve. Experience in digital marketing techniques and channels. Establish a data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decision making. A proven record of testing, measuring, and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities to the event project team.
