Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and reliable

Data Cabling Engineer

for an immediate start on a 2-week contract. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data cabling systems. Due to the nature of the project,

EL-1 Clearance

is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Cabling Installation & Termination:

Install and terminate structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Fibre Optic, etc.) for network setups, ensuring compliance with security and quality standards. Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve issues with existing data cabling infrastructure. Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cabling installations and system modifications. Health & Safety Compliance:

Follow all relevant health and safety guidelines, especially when working in secure, restricted environments. Collaboration:

Work alongside project managers and other engineers to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and within the required timeframe. Required Qualifications & Experience: EL-1 Clearance

(Essential) - Valid security clearance to work on sensitive government or high-security projects. Previous experience in data cabling installation, termination, and maintenance (Cat5e, Cat6, Fibre Optic). Knowledge of structured cabling systems and network infrastructure. Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience using cable testing equipment. Full UK driving licence is preferable, as there may be some local travel. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Why This Role? Immediate Start:
