Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in their area of expertise who have a global presence in the search for an experienced credit supervisor who is able to mentor and develop a credit control & invoicing team. Your new role As an experienced finance / credit professional, you will work closely with the Finance Director as well as the Financial Operations Director in the day-to-day, smooth running of the credit team, to take responsibility for the collection of outstanding monies, ensuring correct billing / invoicing processes are in place, to reduce queries or errors and as part of the management team ensure internal compliance is followed. This is an exciting opportunity to take your credit control career to the next level as you will be working for a complex organisation that works in a highly regulated industry, so accuracy, compliance and professionalism are essential skills required in this role. Your duties will involve supporting, coaching and developing your team, who will undertake responsibility for their own customers / portfolio, resolving outstanding invoice issues and, of course, collection of monies, which will involve extensive reconciliations of customer accounts, requesting additional information and, if required, escalating to the senior management team for further action to clear the debt. As Supervisor, you will be expected to support your team in resolving issues. Therefore, you must have staff-management experience as well as the confidence to investigate and resolve issues at a senior level. What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced finance professional with an area of expertise in credit management, invoicing / billings, ideally from an insurance / financial services background and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills. It is expected you will be confident with IT / in-house accounting software, including intermediate / advanced excel skills for reporting purposes. As explained, the organisation operates in a regulated business-to-business sector which requires you to ensure internal processes and compliance is maintained, but fundamentally, this is an invoicing and credit collection role. What you'll get in return The organisation offers a generous benefits package and a salary of circa £50,000 depending on experience. Please call Andy Jarman on 01603 760141 for more details.
