Business Systems Manager £45,000 – £50,000 per annum Leicester (3 days a week in the office) SystemsAccountants are currently working on behalf of our client looking for a proactive and technically skilled Business Systems Manager to play a pivotal role in our IT infrastructure and system implementations. This exciting position will focus on delivering key projects including the deployment of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and the set-up of a new ERP system – SAP Business One. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IT hardware and networking, with strong technical expertise in configuring systems, designing custom reports, and creating document layouts within software platforms. The Business Systems Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure critical to business operations. The role will be within a team of three, alongside a Business Change Analyst and reporting to the Business Change Manager. Role Responsibilities: Assist in implementing a new Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Ensuring a smooth WMS implementation and hardware deployment. Overseeing the setup of warehouse operations from an IT perspective, including introducing scanner capabilities Coordinate hardware installation, testing, and system integration in collaboration with IT providers and vendors.

IT & ERP System support

Collaborate with software vendors and internal teams to integrate new software solutions with existing IT infrastructure Play a key role in the technical setup and configuration of the new ERP – SAP Business One – ensuring it aligns with business requirements. Act as key point of contact for the external IT vendor to oversee installation and configuration of IT hardware (PCs, printers, scanners etc). Resolve issues with BAU activities involving systems which will include user set up, management of software licenses, systems administration.

Data and reporting

Design and create custom reports, document layouts and templates to support operational needs Enhance data modelling and reporting capabilities across the business, leveraging tools such as Power BI and SQL.

Stakeholder and Partner Collaboration:

Act as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals. Support change management initiatives and foster user adoption of new systems and processes post-implementation to identify opportunities for enhancement.

Role Requirements At least 5 years of experience in a software administration / support / management position Familiarity with ERP systems and a strong ability to learn new systems. Experience implementing a WMS system would be a distinct advantage Proficiency in SQL Skills in data modelling Experience with BI tools such as Power BI to produce and maintain data visualisation would be a plus Ability to interrogate large data sets and use data skills SAP Business One experience preferred but not required Proficiency in tools or software required for designing and creating document layouts, such as ERP reporting tools (e.g. Crystal reports, SQL-based reporting systems) or other platforms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Able to commute into the Leicester offices 3x a week.
