By supporting our reward and pension activity, you will ensure our total reward offering remains competitive and aligned to our strategic goals. As a Reward and Pension Coordinator, you are our in-house pension subject matter expert playing a crucial role in supporting The Crown Estate’s pension schemes and broader Reward plans. You are at the heart of our pension coordination while also working with your reward team and broader People & Culture colleagues on broader reward activities. You will ensure compliance with UK government regulations, collaborate closely with our outsourced pension provider, and handle day-to-day pension activities. You’re the friendly face for external partners and stakeholders such as trustees and pension providers. You’re there to support our scheme members whenever they need guidance, whether they are planning for retirement or navigating pension-related matters. Main Accountabilities: Supporting the Reward and People operations team in leading key reward project activity as well as day to day support to team. Salary benchmarking and job evaluation in line with our reward framework and supporting annual benefit renewals and the annual pay and bonus cycle. Regular project activity involvement in line with our broader People and Culture strategy. Ensure smooth pension administration, compliance with UK regulations and seamless coordination with our outsourced pension provider. Pension relationship and stakeholder management, including the company representation at Trustee meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Monitor the cash allowance scheme and changes to legislation on lifetime and annual allowance and the auto enrolment and re-enrolment processes. Responsible for supporting the budgeting and management of all pension costs, including business planning with providers. Working with advisors to review and improve our member communications and online platform. Coordination of member pension consultations including supporting the preparation and management of project plans. Remain up to date on legislative developments and industry best practice. For example, monitoring notices from the civil service pension scheme and completing mandatory administration modules. Attend monthly meetings with outsourced provider and relationship managers to ensure timely delivery of administration service and projects. Prepare the quarterly employer update and present at trustee board meetings. Provide accurate and clear guidance, answer queries, and offer support for employees at all stages of the employee lifecycle. For example, new joiner meetings, annual allowance, life-time Allowance. Calculate benefit entitlements for retirements, terminations, and death in service. Promote awareness of our pension schemes. Knowledge, experience, and skills: Reward knowledge and experience in a reward or pension environment. In-house pensions experience on DB & DC schemes desirable. Understanding of UK occupational pensions, regulations and HMRC requirements, and knowledge of the Civil Service pension arrangements or willingness to learn in this area. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent stakeholder management skills plus the ability to identify and resolve issues and queries in a timely manner. Strong collaboration skills working effectively with colleagues, trustees, and external partners. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Professional qualifications such as PMI certification are desirable. This is a Permanent role.
