A well-known main contractor based in Stirling is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to support their busy work pipeline across the central belt of Scotland. They have a long-standing presence in the Scottish market, spanning both the public and private sectors, and boast a proud history of promoting talent from within.

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a team of Senior/Quantity Surveyors and leading the commercial aspects of 2-3 construction projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standard and within budget.

Key duties:

Preparing and submitting tenders, estimates, and proposals Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Providing commercial guidance and support to project teams Identifying commercial risks and opportunities Monitoring project budgets and financial performance Mentoring and developing junior members of the commercial team

To be considered for this role, you will be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with extensive commercial experience within a main contracting environment. You will have a working knowledge of construction contracts and procurement, and experience managing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
