Are you a qualified and experienced financial professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our dynamic organisation to play a pivotal role in driving financial success and supporting strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards. Lead the budgeting process, including preparation, analysis, and monitoring of budgets. Develop and maintain financial forecasts to aid in strategic planning. Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure financial stability. Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring effective credit control and timely payments. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation, including tax obligations. Lead, mentor, and develop the small finance team, using monthly 1-2-1's and annual performance and target reviews. Provide the management team with financial analytics and produce justification plans for capex purchases. Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Strong technical accounting skills with a thorough understanding of UK GAAP. A knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls would be a distinct advantage. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Demonstrated experience in a similar financial control role within the professional services industry. Proven track record of managing a finance team and delivering high-quality financial reporting. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and work within a high-performing team. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Proactive problem-solving approach and attention to detail.
