Salary:
Apprenticeship Rate: £6.40 per hour for the first 12 months of employment. (National Apprenticeship Rate increasing to £7.55 per hour in April) Annual salary per annum: £12,648 per annum (Based upon £7.55 hourly rate) Contract:

February 2025 or as soon after as possible Ridgeway Primary Academy has a new and exciting opportunity for a Site Apprentice to join our school. The Site Apprentice will join our busy site team to provide general support to the upkeep of the school. Ridgeway Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work. We gained ‘Good’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection and we are a founding member of Primitas Learning Partnership, a new Multi Academy Trust which seeks to make a positive difference in the local community. Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine maintenance tasks and minor planned and responsive repair works. Use a broad range of fundamental trade skills including: carpentry, joinery, plumbing, plastering, brick and blockwork, external works, and associated finishing trades including tiling, painting, and decorating. Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools, materials, components, fixtures, and fittings. Ensure that working practices are compliant with health and safety requirements and meet building safety regulations and legislation. This will include 1 day of study at Walsall College per week.
