Head of Academic Quality Assurance . This position plays a vital role in ensuring the academic integrity and quality of our diverse programme offerings, contributing to the Institute's mission of providing world-class education to learners from all backgrounds. About Us ICE delivers an extensive range of part-time courses, including undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, short courses, apprenticeships, and summer programmes. Each year, thousands of learners join us to pursue lifelong learning opportunities and gain University of Cambridge qualifications. As we continue to expand and innovate, our focus remains on delivering inclusive, learner-centred education that meets the highest academic standards. The Role As Head of Academic Quality Assurance, you will lead on the development and implementation of robust quality assurance processes that underpin all educational aspects of the Institute's work. Reporting to the Director of Continuing Education Governance, your responsibilities will include: Leading academic quality assurance activities, including programme design, curriculum review, and external examining, ensuring compliance with University and regulatory frameworks (e.g., OfS, QAA, Ofsted). Analysing quality assurance data to set strategic targets and monitor progress against key performance indicators. Providing training and support to colleagues to embed a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity. Acting as the Institute's authority on University Statutes and Ordinances, ensuring policies and procedures align with sector-leading practices. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to share best practices and represent the Institute in academic quality networks. Staying informed on national developments in academic quality assurance, conducting horizon scanning and sector benchmarking to make informed recommendations. About You We are looking for a candidate with: Expertise in interpreting and applying academic quality principles in Higher Education to ensure compliance with academic assurance requirements. Exceptional skills in data analysis and evidence-based decision-making. The ability to foster collaboration across teams and build capability in quality assurance practices. What We Offer This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the future of academic quality assurance at the Institute. Based at the historic Madingley Hall, you will work on-site for at least two days per week, with flexibility for remote working. Interviews will be held in person at Madingley Hall on 17 March 2025.
