Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ is seeking Software Developers, ICT System Security Specialists, and System Engineers for a long-term opportunity with a Defence client. There are multiple opportunities available. These roles can either be permanent with SYPAQ systems or Contract. These opportunities are based in Canberra. Overview :

Our client is seeking Software Developers, ICT System Security Specialists, and System Engineers for a long-term opportunity. These roles would work across multi-disciplinary teams for the Client. Software Developer

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Develop complex programs using a variety of languages (e.g., Python) and development environments to achieve a well-engineered result. Develop software that provides high-quality User Experience outcomes. Adhere to software engineering processes and contribute to software engineering process improvement. ICT System Security Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Manage and develop ICT system security activities. Achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO). Develop a System Security Plan (SSP). Assess compliance with ICT security requirements. Lead the application and compliance of security operations procedures and review information systems for actual or potential vulnerabilities. Negotiate with ICT engineers and ICT Security in the development and approval of Concept of Operations, SSPs, and Executive Briefs. System Engineer

The System Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and documentation of engineering subsystems under general direction and guidance. They will be required to work across a variety of disciplines including mechanical design, thermal design and modelling, ICT infrastructure, ICT security, and embedded systems development. Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Implement network design on Cisco and Juniper platforms. Linux development, which may include developing and configuring a Linux environment, installing operating systems, and maintenance. Using Python, Puppet, and Ansible to enhance and support automation and continuous deployment. Monitor systems and infrastructure. Design, support, and update technical documentation, including SOPs and detailed design documents. The successful applicants must be Australian Citizens with an existing TSPV security clearance. Candidates must be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.
