Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent position reporting to the Global Supplier Management Director, forming part of a newly launched Global Supplier Support team. The role involves deploying internationally to solve acute and impactful problems within the supplier base.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate the capability of poorly performing suppliers and identify key constraints within the operation. Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders, including Operational Procurement teams and Program Management. Build strong relationships with suppliers and achieve buy-in to development initiatives. Deploy industry best practices such as problem-solving and LEAN Manufacturing principles to stabilize the supply of direct material. Advise and support operational procurement teams on best practices for supplier management and problem-solving. Advocate and advise on the global use of the Supplier Management Framework. Deliver a capable and stable supply chain through effective supplier development activity. Job Requirements:

To help us make a difference, you'll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications, and attributes: Supplier Development experience in high reliability/safety-critical industries. LEAN Manufacturing experience. Practical problem-solving experience (8D, RCA, PDCA, CI, Kaizen, LEAN, etc.). Strong experience in complex, global value chains. Desirable Attributes:

Strong understanding of procurement and/or programme management. Engineering, Project Management, Quality or Procurement professional accreditation (CIPS, CEng, CQI, etc.). Lead auditor qualification. History and knowledge of either Electrical, Composite or Metal Machining processes. Benefits:
