L1 Software Architect - Contract / Freelance - Hybrid Working - Outside IR35
I'm working with one of our longest standing clients that are looking for support during the definition phase of an ASIC based Software-Defined Radio modem.
As the right developer, you will have extensive experience developing Software-Defined Radio products, 3GPP standards preferably for 4G or 5G, or various DVB standards. The main focus of the role will be on L1 / Physical Layer, so knowledge of L1 and or similar real-time DSP applications is a must.
They would also like you to have experience with embedded CPU architecture, preferably having worked as an Embedded Architect previously within the communications space.
You will need to analyse existing MATLAB / C models to understand the existing L1 stacks, to support with the definition of the architecture and then support with implementing signal processing algorithms in C.
