Physics Teacher/Cover Archway, North London Prospero Teaching are working with a good, mixed, Secondary School located in the Highgate Hill/Archway area who are actively seeking a qualified teacher of Physics or a cover starting ASAP. You will be joining an inclusive, supportive secondary school and a solid Physics department in an amazing School, teaching across Key Stage 3 up to Key Stage 5. WHAT THE SCHOOL IS LOOKING FOR: Good subject knowledge The ability to build positive relationships with all learners and committed to raising the attainment of all students Plan and challenge teaching and learning A teacher who is interested in the development of the department's extra-curricular offer and lead teams across the school Record progress whilst monitoring and evaluating students CONTRACT DETAILS Location – Archway, North London Position – Physics Teacher Type of work – KS3 – KS5 Contract or position start date – ASAP Full time/part-time – Flexible with full or part time Minimum rate of pay – Paid to scale Hours – 8:15am – 3:30pm, plus parents evenings and extracurricular activities EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS or equivalent – the school is open to unqualified and overseas trained teachers but QTS is preferred Degree in Physics Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PHYSICS TEACHING JOB THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references
