QA Manager About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic QA Manager to support the Site Technical Manager and Deputy Technical Manager in delivering safe and legal products while maintaining and improving technical standards. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about driving a strong quality culture across the site and ensuring compliance with customer and internal standards. Key Responsibilities: Deputising for the Deputy Technical Manager during absences, ensuring effective communication with retail Technical Managers. Overseeing the implementation and verification of factory technical systems and controls. Managing, coaching, and developing the QA team, including supervisors, with clear development plans. Driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement across production teams. Conducting audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Managing technical incidents and implementing robust preventative action plans. Updating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) across the site. Ensuring customer codes of practice are reflected in internal processes. Leading investigations into out-of-specification microbiological results and driving improvements. Developing and delivering technical training programs and maintaining team training matrices. Managing pest control and escalating issues as necessary. Playing an active role in HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams. Supporting customer and third-party audits, ensuring site readiness and compliance. What We Are Looking For: Proven experience in a technical/QA leadership role within the food manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of food safety, compliance, and quality standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and motivate teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving and driving improvements. Experience in managing audits and working with retailers and regulatory bodies. Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety management systems. Performance Measures: Achievement of AA/green standard external audit accreditation. Positive feedback from internal and external customers. Reduction in external complaints and internal incidents. Successful implementation of preventative action plans. Development of a quality-focused culture across the site.
