We are working with a leading global fashion business who are looking for a Designer across Jersey & Nightwear womenswear and girlswear.

Based in Leicester, this role will focus on designing stylish and market-relevant womenswear and girlswear. The successful candidate will bring expertise in jersey and nightwear fabrics, a deep understanding of trends, and the technical skills needed to bring creative concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop innovative jersey and nightwear pieces for womenswear and girlswear collections. Research and analyse current and emerging fashion trends to inform design direction. Create technical drawings, specifications, and colourways to communicate design ideas effectively. Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs, taking into account fabric properties and garment construction. Stay updated on competitor activity, market trends, and customer preferences. Participate in design reviews and provide creative ideas to enhance the collection. Ensure all designs meet the brand's quality and aesthetic standards. Person Specification:

A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience designing jersey and nightwear, particularly for womenswear and girlswear. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software. Solid knowledge of fabric types, print techniques, and garment construction. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. Attention to detail and a strong sense of style, colour, and trend awareness.
