North East Museums (formerly Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums) are seeking to recruit a creative marketing and PR professional to work within our busy and productive Communications Team. Experience in communications, public relations or media is essential.

You must be able to write, edit and proof copy, work to tight deadlines and budgets, and work on your own initiative. You must also be familiar with digital marketing including social media, using website content management systems and e-communications.

You will be responsible for all aspects of marketing and PR to promote North East Museums venues which include Discovery Museum, Laing Art Gallery, Great North Museum: Hancock, Segedunum Roman Fort and Stephenson Steam Railway. This will involve developing communications plans for assigned venues and will include working with the media, online promotion, print and event organisation.

This is an exciting time to join North East Museums. We have recently rebranded and in April 2025 we will welcome three Northumberland museums into our organisation.
