We have recently recruited a new Consultant Cardiologist and are now looking to expand and develop the consultant workforce within Cardiology even further. As part of this expansion, we want to welcome another consultant to join our friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic team of Cardiologists based at Scarborough Hospital. Candidates with an interest in general cardiology, imaging and heart failure are encouraged to apply. Unfortunately, we are unable to support interventional cardiology at this time. Main duties of the job

The post is offered as 10 programmed activities (PAs) over five days and is currently working toward the implementation of a cardiology on-call service in 2023 which will then provide 24/7 cover. We are open to discuss any specific or specialised job plans that candidates may desire, including flexible/less than full-time working. Ability to demonstrate clinical experience and skill required for gaining UK CCT in Cardiology. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Cardiology via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) or CESR. Registered with and holds a licence to practice with the GMC. Substantive NHS experience. MD or equivalent Higher Degree or evidence of relevant research. Leadership

Demonstrate Leadership Skills. Teaching

Experience of undertaking audits and presenting their findings. Experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. Experience of supervising SpRs/specialist trainees. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
