Organisation: Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful Location: Titanic Suites, 55-59 Adelaide Street, Belfast BT2 8FE Salary: This position is entirely voluntary and is therefore unpaid Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful is seeking a Treasurer to join the Board of Directors. Would you like to assist this successful and expanding environmental charity to bring about a more sustainable society? We work to tackle the climate crisis, halt biodiversity loss and solve pollution problems and develop a more circular economy. The Board is seeking a Treasurer to act as a link between the Board, the staff and the auditors. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent accountancy skills and understanding of financial accounts relevant to a charity operating in Northern Ireland. Our current annual turnover is around £5 million, with a number of sources of income including government grants, charitable trusts and corporate donations. Much of our work, and a high proportion of our financial turnover, involves distributing small grants to other organisations, including community groups. We want our Treasurer to ask the right questions when looking at our accounts on a quarterly basis, and be able to steer and advise the Board about all aspects of the finances.
