Senior Structural Engineer Your new company Hays are working in partnership with an ambitious engineering and environmental consultancy company, seeking to employ a Senior Structural Engineer to assist with their ongoing projects. Our client is based in Ireland, but their reach extends globally in the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Your new role As a Senior Structural Engineer, you are required to lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and client requirements. Key responsibilities include: Conducting structural analyses and calculations to design safe and efficient structures. Overseeing the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects within established timelines and budgets. Providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Actively engaging in site inspections, assessments, and structural surveys. Participating in project meetings and liaising with stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed: To be successful for this role, our client is looking for candidates with: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartered status. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering. Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, Masterseries Retaining Wall Suite, etc.). Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards). Excellent project management and leadership skills.
