We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join the team in the Decontamination department in Radlett. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence. Minimum Requirements: Ability to work under pressure. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Positive ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience is required. Some experience of working within a sterile services unit. Duties Include: Providing a first-class decontamination sterile service to the operating department, clinical departments, and relevant paramedical departments in accordance with HTM 01-01. Assisting in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation, and delivery of medical and surgical equipment, endoscopes, and sundry items to/for the customer. Maintaining good working relationships with all stakeholders. Promoting and maintaining Health & Safety within the department. Ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained in working areas. Ensuring processes are followed as directed by the Senior Staff and in accordance with policies and procedures.
