We are seeking an

Assistant Audiologist

to join our Children’s Community Audiology Service. In this role, you will provide vital support in the audiological assessment of children and young people aged 0 to 19, including those with complex needs. You will assist Paediatric Audiologists with key tasks such as Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA), administrative duties, and liaising with families and healthcare colleagues. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with Paediatric Audiologists, Sensory Support Teachers, Associate Audiologists, and Specialist Paediatricians to deliver high-quality patient care. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the service. This is a part-time role working 30 hours across the week, with the option for a structured but flexible working pattern during the service hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. While your main base will be St Martin’s Hospital, Bath, travel to various community clinics within the service area will be required. Main Responsibilities Assist in paediatric audiology clinics, including Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA). Maintain accurate patient records using electronic systems (e.g. Auditbase, SystmOne). Build rapport and communicate effectively with children, young people, and their families. Perform Stage A calibration checks. Support the smooth running of audiology clinics and work flexibly with the team. Stay updated on audiology developments and contribute to service improvements. The Ideal Candidate Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths or NVQ level in a relevant field. At least two years of experience working with children. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and with diverse patient groups. Strong organizational and IT skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel across B&NES and Wiltshire for work duties.
