Within our Digestive Diseases Clinical Business Unit, a band 5 Staff Nurse opportunity has arisen on Ward A5 Gastro to cover a 9-month maternity leave. This is a part-time position at 28 hours a week (with a shift pattern of 2x LD or nights for 2 weeks, 1 week of 1x LD or night a half day, and 1 week of LDs or nights). Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative Band 5 Staff Nurses who thrive in a challenging environment and are keen to make a positive impact on patient care. Ward A5 Gastro is a 20-bedded emergency Acute Gastroenterology Ward, with a wide range of patients and a TCI ascitic drain service. Qualifications

Registered Nurse with a diploma/degree or relevant experience Experience

Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience working within a clinical area Experience in delivering patient care Acute Ward Experience Gastroenterology Experience Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to overcome barriers to communication Demonstrate evidence of personal development Good organisational skills and able to prioritise and delegate Confident in dealing with difficult situations Ability to work as part of a team High standards of infection control and prevention Knowledge of patient safety initiatives Knowledge/qualification for Quality Improvement Specific skills i.e. Total parental nutrition, NG/NJ enteral feeding, NG insertion, central venous access devices WHH hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
