This is a community post and you will work in a variety of locations in the North West of Glasgow City, therefore a full driving license and access to a car is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, and intervention to older people and disabled adults with multiple pathologies. For this post, the role is predominantly the delivery of Physiotherapy to patients in the North West Intermediate Care unit, supporting the management of delayed hospital discharges. However, the role of the Physiotherapist could also include covering a caseload within the wider community setting, conducted in service users' own homes.
The aims of this service include promotion of independence, self-management, admission avoidance and supporting hospital discharge. Other duties will involve the supervision of support workers and students as well as opportunities to be actively involved in service development. You will be part of an integrated team, working directly alongside other AHP and nursing professions to deliver person-centred goals.
You will be a chartered physiotherapist and HCPC registered. Experience of being part of an inter-disciplinary team and relevant experience in neurology/older person’s care is desirable although not necessary.
