Global Procurement Category Manager - Talent

About the role You will play a crucial role in supporting the Procurement Lead for Talent by actively managing the execution of the category strategies that align with the business, consistently deliver value, optimize commercial leverage, mitigate risks, promote sustainability, and execute effectively with suppliers, striking a balance between investment and results. Who you’ll work with The role reports into the Procurement Lead for Talent and you will work closely with colleagues in Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Procurement. What you’ll do Engage in sourcing and negotiation, Supplier Relationship Management, strategic alignment, risk management, cost optimization, and collaborative efforts to enhance UCB’s effectiveness. Build solid relationships with the extended stakeholder eco-system to fully understand the business and their requirements. Responsible for handling end to end sourcing operations and align with the Procurement Lead on negotiation strategies for projects. Manage and nurture selected Talent suppliers’ relationships. Identify potential suppliers by applying target vendor lists or supporting in the identification of alternatives. Develop and maintain commercial relationship with suppliers. Handle Full RFI / RFQ processes with excellence using the procurement vetted tools. Consider the market trends, the competitive landscape and the dynamics around the supply markets. Ensure risk management strategies are embedded into contracts. Support continuous improvement initiatives and synergies across the eco-system. Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills Degree or professional experience in related field. Experience in Talent, HR or Procurement. Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, understanding of legal terms and implications.
