i2 Group, a Harris Computer company, is seeking an experienced Software Developer with expertise in both C++ and Python to enhance our products and services.
This permanent position will be performed on a remote basis with an occasional requirement to visit the i2 Office in Cambridge, UK as and when there is a business need to do so.
The Role
The employee will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining new capability to an existing large customer base. Passionate about creating efficient and scalable solutions, the candidate should have a strong command of backend technologies and be eager to collaborate within a fast-paced environment. Our development teams deliver value to customers in both a desktop application and web context using Microsoft C++/.NET and React technologies respectively. Analytics are provided by Java Web services orchestrating both an RDBMS and Solr Text Index. The whole stack can be delivered in a containerised Cloud context providing a step change in time to value for our clients. What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a highly creative and self-motivated problem solver with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously. In addition, this strong communicator requires a proven ability to articulate ideas. They will possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, strong interpersonal skills, solid judgment, and the ability to work successfully in a team programming environment throughout the analysis and development process. Proven experience in Visual C++ and C# desktop application development roles Proven experience in Python development Experience in writing unit tests Experience in creating and maintaining user stories Experience of working across multi-functional teams Experience of working in an Agile environment Demonstrable success and involvement in software design and coding of desktop applications Self-motivated with the ability to both set and achieve realistic milestones Good verbal and written communication skills need to be demonstrated Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
