Director of Visitor Operations – “Visitor Attraction” Salary: £90,000 - £100,000+ Location: Hertfordshire I am working with a great client looking for someone to help transform the visitor experience, drive commercial success and maximise net income from the high-quality execution of events that enhance this prestigious heritage estate in Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will play a significant role in overseeing daily operations to ensure exceptional visitor experiences across all areas of the venue. The venue's aim is to create a welcoming, informative, and efficient environment for visitors while driving the venue's commercial success and reputation. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team delivering exceptional customer experiences across leisure and business activities. Oversee daily operations to ensure exceptional visitor experiences across all areas of the venue. Develop and implement strategies to increase visitation, revenue, and visitor satisfaction. Collaborate with various departments such as marketing, curatorial, and facilities to coordinate activities and improve services. Develop and implement public programming, including educational initiatives and special events. Manage budgets, forecast visitor trends, and track visitation data. Implement and oversee customer service training programs. Oversee point-of-sale systems for admissions, retail, and online ticketing. Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and attractions. Address visitor inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively. Implement marketing strategies to increase visitor engagement. Develop and implement an ambitious annual events calendar. Manage conferences, weddings, filming, and seasonal visitor operations. Drive revenue growth and enhance venue reputation. Collaborate closely with the estate management team. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven track record of inspirational leadership. Strong strategic planning skills. Excellent commercial acumen. Ability to create outstanding customer experiences. Adaptable and resourceful. Requirements: Extensive experience in operations management. Understanding of historic environments. Proficient in MS Office. Clean UK Driving License. Strong communication and leadership skills.
