Flint House Police Rehabilitation (Flint House) is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers, suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Flint House is set in a stunning rural location near Goring on Thames. We are currently looking to recruit a part time Rehabilitation Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary team working in an environment boasting state of the art gym and rehabilitation equipment and a newly refurbished world class hydrotherapy pool. The role is part time Thursday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.00pm with an hour for lunch. Salary is £12,896 – £15,122. You would be responsible for:
Taking an active part in the assessment of rehabilitation needs and preparation of therapy plans for individuals; Setting objectives and criteria for group therapy; Managing dynamic group sessions; Complementing existing therapies with massage and/or strength and conditioning as appropriate; Providing exercise programs that promote health and lifestyle management; Daily maintenance of gym equipment; Providing clinical education/supervision to rehabilitation students; Liaising with physiotherapist, nursing and administrative staff. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing service development. You must:
Possess a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation or equivalent as well as relevant professional registration; Have experience of multi-disciplinary (MDT) team working – desirable not essential; Be ICT competent and have experience of providing remote treatments via digital platforms – desirable not essential; Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills; Be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development; Be willing to be DBS checked. Holiday: 36 days p.a. rising by 1 every 5 years to a maximum of 41 days – office closed between Christmas and New Year. Pension: Contributory pension scheme: Employer 5%; Employee minimum of 3%.
