We are seeking an inspirational Area Manager to lead our Children’s Assessment Service, dedicated to developing an outstanding service for children and young people in East Riding. Our area managers provide motivating, inclusive, and engaging operational management, delivering key statutory services, driving good social work practice, and implementing continuous improvements and positive changes. Key Responsibilities: Champion high standards and drive continuous improvement, high performance, and quality outcomes for children across teams. Create a safe and healthy working culture. Facilitate and enable continuous personal and professional development for yourself and your team. Promote and deliver a service culture that ensures best practice through clear, consistent communication in a fair and open environment. Set performance standards to ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements and maintain effective relationships with external regulators. What We Offer:

You will lead team managers and social workers in assessing and supporting children who need help and protection. You will manage resources effectively, develop practice and performance, and deliver a strong service development plan, collaborating with other area managers and colleagues across Children’s Services. About You:

We are keen to hear from you if you have strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement. You are dedicated to working with children in need of help and protection, senior leaders within the council, and multi-disciplinary partner agencies. You will be an experienced manager with knowledge of relevant statutory legislation and guidance. You will be creative, understand the complex demands on the service, and use data to support developments and quality assurance. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration. Ability to work from various locations and travel countywide independently.
