An opportunity has arisen to join our client in the Tax team as an R&D Tax Consultant. Our client is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced R&D Tax Consultant to join their team. The successful candidate will take full ownership of this function as part of the growing tax department. Development A complementary range of training that allows potential opportunities for progression is offered as part of the role. These include how to network and presentation skills, as well as supporting technical skills that will assist with technical skills. Working alongside a mentor and receiving quarterly performance reviews will offer further opportunities for development. Responsibilities Generate R&D tax assignments for the firm from both existing and new clients. Actively promote R&D services to develop further business opportunities. Work with portfolio holders to maximize the benefits from R&D claims for clients. Liaise with clients to identify any qualifying R&D activities. Prepare R&D claims and reports including technical report writing and cost analysis reviews. Work closely with the corporate tax team to include claims in corporation tax returns. Liaise with HMRC to agree claims. Act as an ambassador for the company to promote other services within the firm. Train and support junior team members to prepare R&D tax credit claims. Active involvement and a willingness to contribute to the success of all. Passionate and with a genuine interest in promoting the firm to clients. Excellent communication across all levels, verbally and face-to-face. Positive, emotionally aware, and resilient. Excellent use of initiative, problem-solving, and working under pressure.
