We are looking for a Manager Financial Accountant to join our Global Finance Shared Service Centre based on the CSL Seqirus site in Liverpool (Speke) for an 18 month Fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting time as we continue to plan for future expansion in a role that provides exposure to global teams and senior leaders. This role is part of the Account to Report team and leads the Financial Accounting team to deliver accurate and timely execution of Financial Accounting activities. This role will initially knowledge transfer activity into the global shared service model and then lead the team into a business-as-usual state. The job requirements include providing guidance and performing complex transactions, overseeing Finance data management, planning, and budgeting activities, and being responsible for statutory reporting for multiple entities. It also includes support for projects and continuous improvement and liaising with Finance Business Partners in case of escalated issues. This role reports to the Associate Director, Head of Financial Accounting. Roles & Responsibilities Lead a Financial Accounting team to deliver accurate and timely execution of Financial Accounting activities. Oversee day-to-day work of Financial Accountants including managing work assignments, reviewing quality, assisting with queries, and ensuring compliance & control. Responsibility for timely and accurate reporting of actuals at month-end close for entities under remit. Ensure timely and accurate local statutory reporting for entities and a smooth and efficient audit process. Responsible for balance sheet and cash flow forecasting and budgeting including support of transacting in planning system. Manage team performance against KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and SLAs (Service Level Agreements). Lead, motivate and develop employees within the team including long-term talent development and succession planning. Qualifications & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field desirable. Professional certification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) required. Good Microsoft Office skills – in particular Excel and Word. Previous experience of SAP desirable. History of process improvement in prior roles. Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Results-oriented and driven individual who takes ownership and works independently. Experience of managing a team. Effective communication skills, persuasive, pragmatic, and flexible. Experience in building and maintaining positive rapport and influence with team members and wider cross-functional partners. Experience in promoting and upholding the core CSL values in daily performance. This role is based out of our Financial Shared Service Centre, Speke, Liverpool. Hybrid role: Office based Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
