We are working exclusively with a client based in Plymouth seeking a Management Accountant to join a vibrant and thriving Engineering business whose ethos centres around sustainability and innovative solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial planning and analysis to support the business's long-term goals. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial acumen, analytical expertise, and have experience using NetSuite and Xero.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial planning and analysis:

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Cost Control and Management:

Oversee expenditure, conduct cost analyses, and propose strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Financial Reporting:

Prepare and present accurate financial statements, ensuring full compliance with applicable reporting standards and regulations. Business Partnering:

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable financial insights and drive data-informed decision-making. Risk Management and Compliance:

Maintain compliance with regulations, manage financial risks through effective controls, and support audit activities. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:

Ensure liquidity by managing cash flow, credit control, and working capital effectively. System and Process Improvements:

Drive process improvements and use financial systems to streamline reporting, analysis, and operations. Strategic Contribution:

Contribute to long-term financial strategies through market analysis and data-driven recommendations to improve profitability and performance. Essential Experience / Qualifications:

Recent, proven experience in management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite and Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables). Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to confidently engage with stakeholders across departments. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Benefits:
