What will I be doing? This role will be responsible for the team of maintenance technicians, providing technical support and ensuring the plant equipment is safe, effective and efficient. The successful candidate will work closely with the management and teams at the production facility as well as working closely with internal and external customers. Key responsibilities of the role include: Developing and maintaining reactive procedures along with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for the plant using computerised maintenance systems. You will set and monitor housekeeping standards and ensure that maintenance spend is within agreed targets. The successful candidate will also seek opportunities for continuous improvements by driving change to reduce maintenance costs and improve overall efficiency. What are the requirements? With proven supervisory / management experience, you’ll have a multi-disciplined knowledge base of both Mechanical & Electrical engineering and be qualified, ideally through a relevant apprenticeship, to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or higher (or equivalent experience). You'll have experience of working in maintenance engineering roles within manufacturing / production engineering environments, with knowledge including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics and electrical fault finding (PLC’s). Further training and qualifications needed for the role include 17th edition regulations (opportunity to update from 16th if necessary) and Health & Safety (IOSH), but any required training can and will be provided.
