Company Overview: Our client, a leader in aerospace and high-precision engineering, is expanding its team and looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join their quality department. Role Overview: The Quality Engineer will be an integral part of the quality department, responsible for ensuring products meet the highest quality standards. You'll be involved in everything from quality control and inspections to continuous improvement activities. The role will include supporting the team and taking the lead on quality-related issues. With a retiring Quality Manager and Inspector, this is a pivotal time for the department and a chance to grow within the team.

This is a mid-level role, ideal for someone with a solid background in quality engineering, especially within aerospace but not essential. The company is open to a range of backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct quality inspections and audits, ensuring all products meet regulatory and internal standards. Perform First Article Inspections (FAIR) and handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Work with CMMs to ensure accurate measurement and compliance with specifications. Lead and support quality improvement initiatives and provide solutions to quality issues. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve potential quality concerns. Assist with continuous improvement activities to maintain and enhance the quality management system (QMS). Ensure compliance with aerospace and industry-specific standards.

Essential Skills: Solid experience in Quality Engineering (mid-level role). Ideally, aerospace background and AS (Aerospace Standards) knowledge. Experience with CMM and FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, audits, and inspections. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
