We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team and help oversee the day-to-day operations of our production department. Role Overview: As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the production team, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to meet daily production targets, improve processes, and maintain high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of production operatives, ensuring that all manufacturing activities are carried out to the highest standards. Monitor production schedules, workflows, and resources to ensure targets and deadlines are met. Ensure all health, safety, and quality procedures are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff. Provide training and guidance to team members, helping them to develop skills and improve performance. Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues or delays, making adjustments to processes as required. Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products. Monitor production performance, report on key metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a production supervisory role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Solid understanding of production processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve production issues. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. Good communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
