Your Role as an Innovation Engineer As an Innovation Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of exploring technologies that address big questions: What will the future of learning look like? How can cutting-edge tools create meaningful experiences for students and educators? Which technologies will make the biggest impact in education and work over the next decade? You'll: Build and test prototypes using the latest tech. Solve complex problems with creativity and energy. Shape the products and services that drive Pearson's future direction. This is your chance to make a global impact in an industry that touches everyone—education. What We're Looking For We want entrepreneurial technologists who bring ingenuity and drive to everything they do. Core Competencies: Customer Focus : Passionate about solving real-world problems for learners and educators. Technical Excellence : Skilled in programming, prototyping, and emerging tech (e.g., AI/ML, XR/Spatial Compute, blockchain). Creative Problem-Solving : Thrive in ambiguity and think outside the box. Attention to Detail : Meticulously document and communicate the innovation process. Systems Thinking : See the bigger picture of interconnected technologies. Passion for Learning : Curious about education and its challenges. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience presenting technical ideas to diverse audiences. Familiarity with design thinking or rapid prototyping. Interest in neuroscience, human-computer interaction, or learning science.
