Immune safety issues are one of the major reasons drugs fail and have been the cause of some of the most notorious drug disasters in history. Understanding and evaluating the immunological effects of drugs is therefore an important challenge in modern pharmaceutical product development. Once understood, this information can impact decision making in drug development, permits the effective design and conduct of preclinical programs and can translate to better patient outcomes in the clinic. This role is placed within our Safety Science group and is ideal for a candidate with a pharmacology/toxicology/immunology background and a specific interest in immunotoxicology. ApconiX is primarily located in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, UK but allows for flexible working. Responsibilities:

Work with multidisciplinary members of the TSA team to deliver target safety assessment services to our growing client base. Translate

datasets into meaningful toxicological information and guidance on novel drug targets. The research and development component of the role will focus on the construction of resources and tools that will be used to enhance capabilities related to key mechanisms of immunotoxicity we encounter. Qualifications:

Qualified to MSc or PhD level in life sciences e.g., immunology/pharmacology/toxicology. Fluent English with excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of the drug discovery process. The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK. Character Attributes:

An enthusiasm for mechanistic science. Demonstrative capacity for high quality scientific writing. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively on diverse projects. Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. A commitment to research integrity and high ethical standards. How to Apply:
