Mortgage and Protection Adviser Location: Office-based, North Finchley. Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (based on experience and skill level) plus a commission structure OTE: £50,000-£55,000. Join us and help make a difference in people's lives! Mortgage and Protection Adviser: An Overview We seek a highly motivated and experienced Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in providing expert mortgage advice, coupled with a deep understanding of protection products. This role requires a proactive individual who can build strong relationships with clients and guide them through the mortgage and protection process with professionalism and integrity. You will be a self-starter and self-motivated to hit the ground running. You will need to learn and adapt to a highly changing environment and be able to make suggestions to help improve processes. Key Responsibilities for the Mortgage and Protection Adviser: Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone, email, or face-to-face meetings. Conduct comprehensive customer fact-finds to assess individual financial circumstances, including income and expenditure. Build and maintain a client base, identifying opportunities for protection, general insurance, and other revenue streams. Evaluate client mortgage suitability, ensuring affordability assessments are thorough and accurate. Provide tailored advice on life protection and additional services as required. Proactively develop business opportunities and secure new clients through ethical practices. Complete and submit accurate and timely mortgage applications, including 'decisions in principle' applications. Transition cases to the Administrator once compliance requirements are met. Maintain effective communication with mortgage lenders, estate agents, and solicitors to facilitate client transactions. Ensure compliance with GDPR and maintain accurate data records. Stay updated on product knowledge to deliver effective advice and support to clients. Achieve a minimum of 35 hours Continued Professional Development (CPD) time over a rolling 12-month period, recorded on the HL Partnership Advisor Portal. Keep informed of industry changes by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and networking. Ensure all activities align with FCA regulations, industry standards, and company values. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines. Undertake additional tasks or duties as requested by management. Qualifications, Personal Attributes & Key Competencies for the Mortgage and Protection Adviser: CeMAP qualified or equivalent. Minimum of two years experience in a similar role. In-depth understanding of mortgage and protection products. Consistently deliver high-quality work with attention to detail. Possess strong numerical skills and a good working knowledge of a CRM system. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Punctual, presentable, and a strong team player. Eager to learn and adapt to new challenges. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management. Maintain composure under pressure. Willingness to travel to client locations. Strong customer service focus. Experience with the 360dot net, 27Tec, Solution Builder. A strong desire to work with AI to enhance productivity.
