We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to provide material preparation and testing of production samples. We perform work primarily for the Aerospace industry from a laboratory based on the customer site. Required skills and experience: Degree or similar in chemistry, or relevant experience gained in a related laboratory-based role. Experience of working in an accredited laboratory would be an advantage. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY You will manage the preparation, testing, reporting and outgoing of samples for sorting, filing and management of both electronic and hard copy documents. In addition, you will engage in a wide range of laboratory and administrative activities to ensure efficient and effective technical support is provided. Key activities: Ensure the daily workload of the team is performed efficiently and effectively, in accordance with both approved technical standards and client instructions. Ensuring technical staff receive training consistent with their role and business needs. Supervise support with BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 assessments and internal audits. Maintain adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental procedures. Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders (advice, quotations) consistent with development of the business.
