Southend University Hospital is looking for a Specialist Audiologist to join our dedicated team and provide top-tier care to our patients! As a Specialist Audiologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality audiological services. Your primary focus will be on supporting the Adult Hearing Service, helping individuals regain confidence in their hearing and improving their quality of life. You will be joining an IQIPS accredited service where you will be expected to provide support to patients attending the audiology service and/or ENT. You will be required to undertake routine diagnostic assessment of patients of all ages, to fit and maintain NHS hearing aids and participate with all routine duties within the department. You will also be expected to assist in the day-to-day running of the department. You will participate in the supervision of BSc students, under the overall guidance of the Team leader. You will be working with children, families, and adults, planning diagnostic testing and rehabilitation programmes. You will develop a specialist interest area and may take responsibility for this area as part of the team. Planning and managing a caseload of adults and/or children. Planning and carrying out audiological diagnostic testing. Contributing to data collection for audit and/or service planning. Supervising students and/or junior members of staff. Qualifications

BSc or equivalent AHCS / HCPC registration Further education in the field (example of HTS) Knowledge and experience
