Responsible for the timely cost validation of repairs/works, ensuring value for money is being achieved. Perform cost validation on various works by reviewing photos, notes, and cost rates applied, handling approximately 100 validations per day. Conduct periodic audits of jobs previously processed without validation. Assist in the development of trend reports and analysis on areas of high spend. Proactively investigate and promote best practice within the department. Provide and present reports to operational teams on cost audits undertaken. Develop a solid understanding of costs within the service delivery contracts. Undertake value audits as required. Update and maintain systems/records to ensure that information/data is kept up to date and accurate and that KPIs are met. Ensure a culture of compliance with standing orders, health & safety requirements, equality and diversity policies, and other policies and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working on Schedule of Rates contracts. Knowledge of British Standards and codes of good practice for building works
