As a Risk Manager lead, you will be working in the team which sets the framework for operational and conduct risk across the Society. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the framework with particular attention to design, assessment, and management of controls together with reviews of policies. You will be working with senior stakeholders to ensure implementation and embedding of the framework and providing expert advice.

This role is within the Enterprise Risk team, which is responsible for designing and administering the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the Society.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35.

For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time,

based at either our Swindon or London office.

If London, you will need to attend the Swindon office on a weekly basis to work with colleagues. Enhancing and writing operational risk framework, in particular with a view to enhancing standards and guidance in relation to control design, assessment, management, and ownership. Reviewing controls which have been proposed across the suite of risk policies to ensure conformity against Enterprise Risk Management Framework standards. Providing expert advice on framework application and embedding across all lines of defence, in particular in relation to the control environment. Reviewing Risk Policies to ensure conformity against framework standards. About you

As a minimum requirement, you'll have: Recent experience of reviewing Risk Policies and controls to ensure conformity against framework standards. Risk management experience, in particular controls management and testing. Experience of working with operational risk frameworks. Experience of working with risk systems, preferably MetricStream. An ability to work with and challenge senior stakeholders. An eye for detail. Excellent organisational skills. An ability to flex and prioritise.
