Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship

in our Building Structures team, assisting the team in delivering civil and structural building designs across a wide range of projects. You will be provided with full support to achieve a Level 6 qualification (BEng Hons Degree in Civil Engineering) which aims to create a solid foundation for a successful and satisfying career. The Apprenticeship Programme Duration, Cost and Qualifications The duration of the academic course is 5 years and will likely be provided by Liverpool John Moores University. You would typically work for 4 days a week in the Chester office within your job delivery role and study would be 1 day a week (during the academic terms) at the University via a combination of lectures, laboratory work, tutorials, workshops, practical sessions, and online activities combined with your own research using the library and the web. The cost of the Apprenticeship is paid by Ramboll through the Apprenticeship Levy. The apprenticeship would lead to the following qualifications: Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers following successfully passing the relevant Professional organisation entry requirements. You will join our Buildings department As our new Civil Engineering Apprentice, you will be part of a fast growing, dynamic team in our Chester office, known for its award-winning designs. You will be working with an exciting team of experts, in a respectful environment where your contribution is valued. You will be provided with on-the-job training and mentoring from our team of experienced, industry-leading professionals. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to: Work under the guidance of our experienced engineers and project managers to deliver effective designs for building and civil engineering structures. Manage and undertake production of design information, 3D models, visualisations, drawings and schedules that communicate design to builders and other parties. You will learn to use an extensive suite of cutting-edge CAD/BIM applications (including Revit) and be challenged to improve our use of them. Work alongside the rest of the buildings team, and teams of all disciplines nationally and internationally across the Ramboll Group. A keen interest in the built environment. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. An inquisitive mindset. CAD knowledge and or experience is desirable but not essential.
