18.5 hours per week (0.5 fte) with additional PTVH options to 0.8 (29.6 hours). Teaching time on 0.5 = 12 hours; approx 20 hours with PTVH. Salary:
Up to £41,313 pro rata per annum* (subject to experience and qualifications). You may also be eligible to claim a targeted retention incentive payment of up to £5,000**. This is a great opportunity to inspire our future engineers, teaching across our Level 2 & 3 programmes including NVQ 2 Performing Engineering Operations, Level 3 Diploma in Engineering & Technology, Metal Fabricator Apprenticeships etc. The successful candidate would bring confidence and experience with a breadth of engineering topics such as welding, sheet metal fabrication, pattern development, fabrication & welding principles as well as wider topics such as Health & Safety, Engineering Communication, Engineering Maths etc. About the person You may be an experienced FE tutor already or a newly qualified tutor; however, we would certainly encourage applications from candidates working in the fabrication & welding/engineering sector, or with a fabrication and welding background. Experience of leading projects/programmes would also be of benefit. You should have a minimum of HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or relevant fabrication & welding industry standard qualifications and experience at Level 3 as a minimum. You will ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and assessor/IQA awards or be keen and willing to work towards these with funding support from the College. Recent experience within the fabrication/welding sector would be a significant advantage.
