Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 years+ experience of using SolidWorks for automated special purpose machinery design required to work on bespoke projects for an established client in the South East. Mechanical Design Engineer GBP35,000 – GBP45,000 + 24 days holiday, 8% pension East Sussex Ref: 24192 The Mechanical Design Engineer will be working directly with a broad range of customers in areas such as Pharmaceutical, Automotive and Defence, designing the mechanical aspects of special purpose machines and automation systems. Mechanical Design Engineer – The Role: Responsible for the mechanical aspects of design Implementing design schemes specified for the project, adding input into the specification documents & project documentation Production of general assemblies & parts drawings Gathering and documenting data for design studies by means of research & experimentation Performing and documenting design calculations Taking part in design review meetings, as required, to review ideas and schemes from other engineers including checking of GAs and parts drawings Should you have the ability to take on any senior responsibilities including reviewing your colleagues' work and supporting with their training, that would be highly beneficial.
