Audit & Assurance Manager
to oversee a team of six Audit & Assurance HSEQ Technicians. This team will conduct first-line assurance for the Mains Renewal function, providing more detailed checks and insights beyond the on-site and remedial checks and generic audits performed by the Network Construction Managers. The role supports the Network Construction Managers by offering in-depth compliance checks, analysis, and insights. The Audit & Assurance Manager will lead a team of specialists responsible for monitoring all compliance activities in accordance with Severn Trent’s Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Water Hygiene standards. Additionally, this role will handle and support any escalations from the Audit & Assurance HSEQ Specialists. Key responsibilities will include: This role has responsibility for line managing a team of 6 Audit & Assurance HSEQ Technicians, who will carry out first line assurance across the Mains Renewal function. Responsible for ensuring the team effectively and efficiently carry out first line assurance audits for the construction teams, supporting the on-site and remedial checks and generic audits undertaken by the Network Construction Managers. Ensures there is consistent and robust site compliance across all mains renewal programmes, in accordance with NRSWA and HSE regulations. This role will ensure that the team carry out regular, robust and good quality audits, driving high quality standards and continuous improvements across all our construction sites. The role will monitor overall compliance performance, analyse findings, identify trends, and feedback learnings and improvements to the construction management team to continuously drive improvements for site set up and safety. This role is responsible for escalations from the Audit & Assurance HSEQ Technicians. Continuous improvement role, focusing on enhancing processes and ensuring ongoing compliance and efficiency. What you’ll bring to the role: The successful candidate will have experience of HSEQ audit, assurance and governance. Having an understanding of CDM Regulations and undertaking some form of auditing/inspections within the construction industry would be required.
