We are looking for a Field Operations Manager to be based at Epsom.

You will be directing and developing a team of technicians and/or contractors to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance in Clean Water Networks across a defined geographical area. This is a Monday-Friday position. This is a hybrid role with a base location at Epsom. You will be required to travel to the office and be on the field 4 days a week with 1 day working from home. There will be a requirement to join a call-out rota which you will receive additional payment.

What you will be doing as a Field Operations Manager?

Performance managing a field operations team to deliver operational asset maintenance, customer service targets and supporting efficient completion of capital delivery projects. Monitor and drive performance against key metrics to make sure all work is responded to promptly. Direct and develop technicians by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one to one’s, completing the PDR process and creating individual development training plans. Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team. Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team. Take team responsibility for safe working practices which comply with company procedures. Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.

What you should bring to the role?

The ideal candidate will have experience in directing, developing and performance-managing field-based operatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, and you must have an exceptional standard of organisation and be health, safety, and well-being aware. You will be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software. Formal influence and management qualifications are desirable (but not essential). Knowledge and understanding of the clean water network are desirable (although not essential) as well as the ability to converse with managers and stakeholders. Due to the nature of the role, a FULL UK Driving licence is essential.
